Offering spirometry test services in the greater Edmonton area
What is a Spirometry test?
Spirometry is a common office test used to assess how well your lungs work by measuring how much air you inhale, how much you exhale and how quickly you exhale. Spirometry test services are used to diagnose asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and other conditions that affect breathing. A spirometry test may also be used periodically to check whether a treatment for a chronic lung condition is helping you breathe better.
We provide an assessment to provide each worker with a base measure of lung health. Having a regular assessments of your lungs can help find any early problems that may be taking place.
We offer differing levels of assessment based on the job duty which may consist of x-ray, spirometry testing, radiology reports, health history information and a physician’s explanation of the findings. The health history consists of information relating to the employer, worker, history of work, smoking history, previous related health reporting as well as non-work exposures.
