Whether it be spirometry or any of our other services, our certified technicians have a wealth of experience. Our onsite testing mobile unit can provide your company with mobile hearing services inside of our whisper room. As well as occupational testing done right onsite as well as fit testing. Hearing protection among people in the construction industry

Hearing loss amongst workers in the construction industry is quite common and preventable with proper hearing protection. It is not at all a surprise that construction industry professionals run the risk of greater hearing loss than most. When you take into consideration the amount of noise produced from machinery such as jackhammers exceeding 120 decibels, a worker can find themselves in an enivronment comparable to a rock concert. Constant exposure to loud noise without adequate hearing protection over the span of many months and years contributes to noise-induced hearing loss.

Spirometry - New respiratory guidance documents

OSHA and NIOSH have created two guidance documents, one for workers and one for employers, showing how the use of spirometry testing will reduce and prevent workers' exposure to respiratory hazards. Spirometry is a common pulmonary function test that measures how well a person moves air in and out of the lungs. To catch changes of problems in lung function, spirometry is the industry standard testing method. Inhaling some types of dusts, gases, or other air contaminants can damage lungs. The spirometry test may detect breathing problems or significant changes in a worker's lung function at an early stage.
